Learning outcomes
The student must know mathematical models of the description of pathological processes in a living organism, radiophysical processing methods signals distorted by noise; modern communication systems. Digital methods of X-ray research, energy processes in biological cells; use of the nuclear phenomenon magnetic resonance for the study of cellular processes, problems of information protection during transmission via the Internet; X-ray computed tomography; features and principles of laser technology application in medical diagnosis and therapy; the effect of ionizing radiation on internal bonds in the DNA molecule; physical aspects, methods and possibilities of using impedance tomography
The student must be able to master and find materials and the specified topic; report, analyze scientific materials, publications.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To study the discipline "Seminar in medical physics" a successful mastery is necessary of the following courses: "Methodology and organization of scientific research with basics intellectual property", "Medical radiophysics", "Additional sections of biophysics".
Course content
"Seminar on medical physics" includes the main sections of medical physics, radiation medicine, medical endoscopy, physical foundations of medical diagnostics, biophysics, information technologies in medicine

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: The preparation of reports, their discussion and answers are provided to the question. Conditions for admission to the final examination: the student must type in time semester for at least 21 points.
The final assessment is in the form of a credit, the form of the credit is oral. In total, you can get credit from 0 to 40 points. A condition for achieving a positive grade for a discipline is receiving no less than 60 points.
