Learning outcomes
The student must master: the features of searching for information on the Internet, the main components of the search system, the features of the operation of search systems, the indexing process of search systems, the features of the operation and multimedia technologies used in the search systems Wandex, Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.
The student should be able to: navigate the architecture and operation of the search engine, use the concepts of hybrid search engines and search meta-systems, work with web servers in search engines, databases of search engines, algorithms of search engines, navigate the operation of search engines Nigma, DuckDuckGo, Pipl, MSN, META, Baidu, work with modern methods of internal and external SEO optimization, work with modern capabilities of cloud services.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying the discipline "Multimedia technologies in search information system", students need to master the material of the courses "Higher mathematics", which is taught for students of the first (bachelor's) level of education, "Artificial intelligence technologies" and "Network operating systems" (both disciplines are taught in the 2nd semester). In order to freely work with available information and literary sources, students need to take the course "English in the field of information technologies", which is taught in the 1st semester.
Course content
"Multimedia technologies in information search systems" discipline is necessary for students to master SEO optimization technologies, understand the basics of search engine architecture, the ability to navigate in modern specialized search engines, as well as knowledge of basic and advanced tools of the most popular search engines related to automation, system administration and security in the master's degree in the specialty "123 Computer Engineering".

Assessment methods and criteria
- semester evaluation: The discipline lasts one academic semester. The form of control is the offset. Completion of 2 practical works at seminars and 2 control works is mandatory for admission to the credit. Each practical work at the seminar session is evaluated at a maximum of 10 points. Each control work is evaluated at a maximum of 20 points.
- final evaluation in the form of credit: the form of credit is oral. For credit, you can get a maximum of 40 points.
- conditions for admission to the final credit: the condition for admission to the credit is that the student receives a total of no less than the critical-calculated minimum for the semester, 35 points. Students who, during the semester, scored a lower number of points than the critical-calculated minimum of 35 points must complete an additional individual task on the subject of seminar classes in order to be admitted to the credit.
