Learning outcomes
1. to understand the specifics and features of the implementation of cultural ideas, images, and meanings, as well as to critically evaluate the possibilities of their interpretation to solve important problems for a society.
2. to analyze textual and visual sources of information about cultural phenomena and processes; to verify information according to professional objectives.
4. to popularize the profession of culturologist, adhering to ethical principles.
6. to communicate fluently in official and foreign languages orally and in writing to discuss professional issues, presentation of research results and projects.
7. to evaluate historical achievements and the latest achievements in cultural studies.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To be able to collect and interpret information about the phenomena and phenomena of culture, cultural processes and events; independently analyze works of various types of art; to navigate in genres and types of artistic culture.
Possess the skills of building a plan of the evolution of art from primitive society to the present day; independent search for material about the artistic culture of different historical periods.
Course content
The discipline "Artistic culture of Ukraine in the context of the European artistic paradigm" introduces students to the main stages of the development of artistic culture. World culture is considered as a whole system, one of the components of which is art. The role of the artistic image in art is analyzed, the main artistic styles in the history of world and domestic artistic culture are highlighted, the foundations of art hermeneutics are outlined. The transformation of the human image in the artistic culture of Ukraine and Europe is studied: from the primitive culture to the second decade of the 21st century. Attention is paid to the role of the religious worldview in the formation of the artistic image in the art of Ukraine and Europe and the presentation of nature in the artistic images of different historical eras (Ukrainian dimension and European context).

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of semester work:
1. Self-study No. 1 (summary of primary sources): 8 / 10 points
Self-study №2 (analytical work): 16 / 30 points
2. Control work: 12 / 20 points
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of mastering the material from all (two) parts of the academic discipline. The overall semester grade consists of points obtained for 1) independent work (summary of primary sources, analytical work), 2) control work:
- a maximum of 60 points
- a minimum of 36 points
Final evaluation in the form of an exam:
Written exam - 24 / 40 points
Examination evaluation takes place in written form. The ticket consists of 2 questions, each of which is evaluated on a scale of 20 points, which gives a total of 40 points for the exam.
