Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of disciplines "Virology", "Principles of safety in the virological laboratory", "Identification of viruses", "Genetics of viruses", "Fundamentals of viral carcinogenesis", "Antiviral immunity", "Human and animal viruses". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of general virology and other disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems, work with scientific and scientific-methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in developing recommendations for the prevention and control of this disease, the formation of a forecast of the spread of the disease under study.
Course content
The course is a free choice of the student (choice of blocks) in the specialization "Virology" covers the system of skills on the basis of research into the causes, conditions and mechanisms of disease formation of the population. Discipline teaches to analyze features of the distribution of epidemics by territory, among different populations and over time. Covers issues in the use of data for the development of disease prevention tools. Teaches to make recommendations for the prevention and control of this disease, to form a forecast of the spread of the disease under study. The course is designed to summarize ideas about current and forecast future trends and directions of basic research in the epidemiology of viral infections for future career guidance.
