Learning outcomes
1.1 to know methods and techniques of gender expertise and gender audit 1.2 to know specifics of gender expertise in different spheres 2.1 to be able to work with gender information, documents and data from sociological and statistical research 2.2 to be able to identify, analyze and interpret the actual gender problems of Ukrainian society 2.3 to do adequate and accurate referencing of scientific sources in English, to substantiate their own position, to make independent conclusions. 3 To demonstrate skills of reasoned submission of own opinion, competent and tolerant discussion with opponents. 4 to demonstrate skills of independent gender expertise and gender audit, mastering of new knowledge

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know English at the B1 level (intermediate level), theoretical foundations of sociology, gender theory and gender studies. 2. Be able to read documents, work with sociological data, assess social and gender consequences, formulate reasoned judgments. 3. Have the skills to search and select relevant information, use methodologies and conceptual foundations of gender and sociological analysis; discuss, present and discuss their own position on the chosen topical issue.
Course content
1. Theoretical approaches to gender expertise and gender audit. 2. Concepts of gender discrimination, sexism, gender equality. 3. Methodologic of gender analysis: main principles. 4. The sources of data for gender expertise and audit. 5. Methods and techniques of gender expertise and gender audit. 6. Gender expertise and gender audit in the law and political sphere. 7. Gender expertise and gender audit in the education. 8. Gender expertise and gender audit in the social sphere and politics. 9. Gender expertise and gender audit in the economic sphere. 10. Gender expertise and gender audit in the media and advertisement.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. several forms of individual and group work on the basis of analysis of gender data and other materials. (PL1.2, PL2.1, PL2.2, PL2.3) (40 points / 24 points) 2. Two control works (PL1.1, PL1.2, PL2.2) (30 points / 18 points) 3. Final work - (PL2.3, PL3, PL4) Presentation results of the research project – gender expertise done by themselves (30 points / 18 points). a final evaluation is a pass exam
