Learning outcomes
Know and apply in professional activities legal acts, normative and technical documents, reference materials in the field of geodesy and land management and related industries. Know the history and features of the development of geodesy and land management, their place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society. Perform surveys and survey, topographic and geodetic, cartographic, design and design and survey work in the performance of professional tasks in geodesy and land management. Participate in the creation of state geodetic networks and special engineering geodetic networks, organize and carry out topographic and cadastral surveys, geodetic measurements, engineering and geodetic surveys for the design, construction and operation of construction projects.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
the student must have knowledge of the course "Higher Mathematics", "Geodesy"; personal computer skills.
Course content
The purpose of teaching the discipline is to master the theoretical foundations and practical techniques for building a terrestrial system of geodetic coordinates, determining the position of points on the earth's surface, determining the shape and external gravitational field of the Earth. Tasks: formation of knowledge and skills in the field of higher geodesy and acquaintance with its problems; mastering modern methods of geodetic measurements and calculations to determine the location on the Earth's surface; acquisition of skills for solving specific practical problems of higher geodesy; acquaintance with modern researches and developments on actual problems on studying of a figure of the Earth and creation of systems of geodetic coordinates.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical classes, consultations, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and involves: performing 7 practical works (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher) and conducting 2 written modular tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam.
