Learning outcomes
Know the main stages of development of theoretical sociological knowledge Know the specifics of the classical stage of formation of sociology and its main representatives Be able to work with bibliography and primary sources Be able to analyze, summarize, make a comparative description of personalities, ideas and eras Be able to apply the concepts and provisions of sociological theories of the XIX - early XX century for the analysis of modern society

Course content
History of sociology as a science. The main stages and directions of development of knowledge about man and society. The occurrence and development of sociology in the ХІХ century. Sociological concept of O. Comte. Sociological naturalism. Historical materialism of K. Marx and F. Engels as a theory of society. Psychological direction in the sociology of the XIX century. German formal sociology
