Learning outcomes
Tasks of studying the discipline are aimed at the formation of knowledge about the principles of legal regulation of relations in the area of information technology, the use of the results of intellectual and creative activities; mechanism of intellectual property rights; grounds for acquiring legal protection by objects of intellectual property rights; ability to develop contracts in the IT area.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites for mastering the discipline: 1. Know the main aspects of the formation and development of legal institutions; general principles of legal support for the protection of the results of creative activities, acts of legislation governing the relations of participants in the IT area. 2. Be able to evaluate and determine the role of contracts in the IT area. 3. To have basic skills in drafting contracts, taking into account the peculiarities of the practical situation and with the help of legal methods to resolve disputes arising in the area of information technology.
Course content
The discipline "Contracts in IT Area" is part of the cycle of professional training of specialists of educational and qualification level "Bachelor" in "Law" at the Education and Research Law School of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The main components of the discipline are the formation of competencies aimed at demonstrating knowledge of scientific approaches, basics of methodology and methods of research on the issues of disposition of intellectual property rights; ability to assess and analyze legal issues and practical legal situations in the area of intellectual property rights management and IT; ability to further study with a high level of autonomy.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The study of the discipline includes lectures and practical classes; express survey/testing/essay (abstract) on the proposed topic; module test; self-study in preparation for seminars; credit (exam).
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of ongoing performance evaluation can include: express survey, report, scientific work, multiple testing (from the set of judgments to choose the right ones), case solving (tasks), module test (final test). Things to be assessed in the process of ongoing performance evaluation at the seminars are: the level of knowledge demonstrated by the student during seminars, the level of activity in discussing the issues of the seminar, regular work in the classroom, self-study and individual assignments results. The discipline is taught during one term. 10 days before the beginning of the session, the teacher who runs the seminars no longer accepts missing assignments. Students who have not scored the minimum threshold level of assessment are given a final test.
