Learning outcomes
Achievement of the following competencies, skills and abilities: knowledge of legislation governing the issuance, circulation, accounting of securities and derivatives, legal regime of securities, the conditions of professional activity in the capital market; types and forms of insurance and reinsurance, the concept and characteristics of insurance, the basics of its state regulation, the legal status of participants in insurance relations, the property basis of insurance, the provisions of the insurance agreement; non-banking financial services markets; correct application of legal acts, depending on the factual circumstances of the case and the issues of the problem, analysis of the legal position of higher courts; good command of legal terminology; ability to competently and accurately formulate and express personal position, properly substantiate it;

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the norms of the Economic Code of Ukraine, the Economic Procedural Code of Ukraine, legislative acts determining legal regulation of capital markets and organized commodity markets, the legal regime of securities; types and forms of insurance, general provisions of the insurance agreement. Be able to consolidate and deepen the knowledge gained during the lectures by means of analysing sources of special literature on relevant topics of the course; apply the knowledge acquired from other disciplines, in particular, civil and economic law; use legal information and analytical resources of the Internet; perform self-study tasks, solve problems. Possess skills for drafting procedural documents and law enforcement acts in the field of economic activity in the financial market
Course content
The discipline focuses on studying the basics of stock and insurance law, non-banking financial services markets; application of the rules of substantive and procedural law governing stock, insurance relations in the financial market in solving practical situations (cases); solving complex problems in the field of lawmaking and law enforcement, ability to determine appropriate facts in economic relations in the financial market acceptable for legal analysis, analyse legal issues and form legal positions in corporate, insurance disputes, disputes related to issuance and circulation of securities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Types of classes include lectures, seminars, guest lectures. Forms of learning: group learning. Teaching methods: the optimal combination of general didactic methods, interactive techniques and teaching aids used to organize the educational process at the university (teaching material in the form of lectures using video presentations, dialogue, discussion, questioning, role play, mini-group work etc.). Presentations of lectures, online learning materials, problems (practical cases), tests, individual self-study tasks are applied.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final mark is the sum of the student’s points based on the results of the semester assessment and the mark for the exam (points received at the exam). The maximum final grade for the course can be 100 points. The student can score a maximum of 60 points on the exam. To obtain an overall positive mark for the course, the mark for the exam cannot be less than 36 points. If the student scored less than 36 points on the exam, the latter are not added to the semester result (regardless of the number of points received during the semester), "0" is entered into the "exam score" column and into the "final grade" column only the number of points received during the semester is entered. Types of formative assessment are chosen by the teacher who conducts seminars in agreement with the lecturer and in accordance with the course syllabus.
