Learning outcomes
Know the general provisions of human rights, general characteristics of the international human rights treaties.
Determine the features of the legal status of bodies dealing with the protection of human rights in the UN system, draw conclusions on the activities of the UN Human Rights Council, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, and the Committee on the Rights of the Child.
Know the features of regional human rights protection systems.
Provide legal positions on appeals to the European Court of Human Rights, know the peculiarities of the implementation of the decisions.

1. Know the basic international legal acts that form the basis of international human rights law, the principles of public international law, decisions of international judicial institutions; theoretical developments in the field of international human rights law; list, structure, competence of international organizations,
2. Be able to analyze law-making and law-enforcement international and national practice.
3. Study of disciplines "Theory of State and Law", "International Law", "Constitutional Law".
Course content
The discipline reveals the following issues on the principle of architectonics: the nature and essence of human rights; protection of human rights in the UN; human rights bodies in the UN system; regional human rights protection systems; international legal acts concerning certain categories of rights; international protection of certain categories and groups of persons.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Webinars, lectures on youtube channels, online testing, peer review, film, Mind Maps, analytical notes, case studies, discussions, small group work, analysis of interviews and situations, simulation of various situations, educational role-play games (modeling of the session of the European Court of Human Rights, etc.).
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods - the type of work / activity of the applicant, which will assess the level of achievement of learning outcomes (testing, creative tasks, individual work, independent work, etc. and the minimum threshold after which a positive assessment is credited) - and evaluation criteria are communicated to applicants before beginning of the study of the discipline by a teacher who conducts seminars.
At the ongoing and final performance evaluation are subject to assessment: the level of "Knowledge", "Understanding", "Application", "Analysis" / "Synthesis" / "Evaluation", demonstrated by the applicant.
If the applicant is absent from the seminar for good reasons, he can work out the missed lesson at extracurricular time. Points are not awarded for missed classes.
