Learning outcomes
PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of speech, the history of the Persian language and literature, and to be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 9. To characterize the dialectal and social varieties of the Persian languages, describe the sociolinguistic situation. PLO 12. To analyze Persian linguistic units, determine their interaction and characterize linguistic phenomena and processes that cause them. PLO 14. To use Persian and English in oral and written form, in various genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral) to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO 17. To collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them for solving complex problems in specialized fields of professional activity and/or education.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the disciplines “Lingual country studies of the oriental language”, “Oriental language: basic level”, “Oriental language: intermediate level”, “Lexicology of the first Oriental language”, “Theoretical grammar of the first Oriental language”; knowledge of conversational features of the Persian language, linguistic terminology and laws of language development (from the course "Basics of Linguistics").
Course content
The purpose of the educational discipline is to form in students an idea of the main phonetic, morphological, lexical-semantic and syntactic features of the Tehran dialect as the basis of koine, a spoken variant of the modern Persian language common to all residents of the country, as well as the rules of its fixation in writing; to develop the skills of using the Tehran dialect in students' monologue and dialogic speech. The discipline belongs to the block of disciplines of the student's free choice and has a practical direction.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The discipline provides only practical classes, designed for active work of students in the classroom and aimed at developing the use of elements of the Tehran dialect in students' spoken speech. Students' self-study involves doing homework and watching video materials. Control from the teacher’s side is carried out by means of their oral questioning and organization of written tasks, tests, modular test papers.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semestral assessment is based on: oral responses, written works, lexical dictations, and translation exercises – 24/40 points, modular control works – 12/20 points. Summarizing evaluation in the form of exam is max. 40 / min. 24 points (60% of minimum required quantity); the exam is conducted in written and oral forms, and proposes: 1) listening task; 2) written translation of an unfamiliar text from Persian into Ukrainian. Students who scored less than 36 points in total during the semester are not allowed to take the exam.
