Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the socio-political process; 2. To be able to collect and interpret information about the phenomena and phenomena of politics, socio-political processes and events; 3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, economic, cultural events and phenomena.
Course content
The academic discipline "Social and Political Studies" is part of the cycle of compulsory academic disciplines. The subject of study of the academic discipline is the functioning and development of modern society, politics and power, human interaction with social and political institutions, special characteristics of modern Ukrainian society in a comparative context.

Assessment methods and criteria
The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test papers. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. For students who scored a total of less than the critical minimum of 60 points, it is necessary to complete the missed topics in writing (essay, analytical intelligence) in order to receive credit. The final grade in the discipline consists of the points scored by the student based on the results of the semester control for the first and second parts and the points of the final control papers from both parts.
