Learning outcomes
PLO 5. Apply analytical and methodical tools for substantiating proposals and making managerial decisions by various economic agents.
PLO 9. Realize the main features of the modern world and national economy, the institutional structure, directions of social, economic and foreign economic policy of the state.
PLO 10. Analyze the functioning and development of economic entities, to identify functional areas, to calculate the relevant indicators that characterize the performance of their activities.
PLO 12. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems in the field of economics and economic policy and interpret the obtained results in a meaningful way.
PLO 17. Perform interdisciplinary analysis of socio-economic phenomena and problems in one or more professional fields, taking into account risks and possible socio-economic consequences.
PLO 18. To use normative and legal acts regulating professional activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of courses: "Economics and Economic Policy", "Macroeconomics", "Microeconomics", "Enterprise Economics". Knowledge of theoretical foundations of implementation of property relations; principles of organization of market relations and economic activity; foundations of state regulation of economic relations; principles of competition and the mechanism of realization of enterprises' competitive advantages in globalized markets.
Course content
Course is devoted to the study of the nature, principles and features of economic relations in the field of intellectual property under formation of post-industrial society, as well as applied aspects of intellectual property rights disposal and the mechanism of economic turnover of intellectual property objects. The discipline analyzes the functions, structure of intellectual capital and its role in ensuring expanded social reproduction. The course involves the study in practice of the mechanism of protection of intellectual property rights and methods of valuation of intellectual property objects.
