Learning outcomes
PR04. Be able to choose and apply the most appropriate methods of mathematical modeling and optimization in the development of scientific and technical projects.
PR08. Plan and manage research, scientific and technical and / or production projects in the field of biotechnology, based on current trends in science, technology and society.
PR10. Introduce the most effective biotechnological methods and techniques in practical production activities based on the evaluation of the effectiveness of advanced biotechnologies and taking into account the general trends in the development of new biotechnologies in leading countries.
PR12. Find the necessary information in scientific and reference books, electronic databases, other sources of information, assess its relevance and reliability.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses of EL "Bachelor". Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of professional biotechnological disciplines.
2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of mathematics, computer modeling, perform analytical and numerical calculations using appropriate software packages, work with scientific and methodological literature.
3. Have basic skills for building and analyzing mathematical models of various biotechnological processes.
Course content
The discipline is aimed at forming an idea of 1) general approaches to building mathematical models of biotechnological processes, 2) qualitative analysis of mathematical models of biotechnological processes, 3) numerical analysis of mathematical models of biotechnological processes.
