Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the courses "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology", "Biophysics"
Knowledge of theoretical foundations of mathematics, physical chemistry, molecular physics, biochemistry, molecular biology and biophysics
Ability to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific literature.
Course content
The course is devoted to the basic principles of structural organization, physical behavior and functioning of biological macromolecules - nucleic acids and proteins. The structure and conformational mobility of biopolymers, mechanisms of stabilization of their spatial structure, regularities of cooperative structural transformations, electrostatic, hydrophobic and other noncovalent interactions in biopolymers, basics of polymer physics, topology of circular DNA, principles of modern methods of biopolymers research are considered.
