The discipline "Medical and Veterinary Virology" is a basic discipline that covers the mechanisms of development of viral infections in humans and animals. The course consists of sections on viral infectious diseases of humans and animals, clinical issues and principles of diagnosis of viral diseases. Particular attention is paid to the establishment of a preliminary diagnosis as the initial stage of diagnosis. Individual viral infections, their pathogenesis and epidemiology are considered in detail. The classification of diseases is presented taking into account the recommendations of the WHO and OIE. human and animal
