Learning outcomes
Analyze the patterns of occurrence and development
processes and phenomena in the atmosphere in their interaction with other
geospheres (ELO 01).
To know modern methods of meteorology research and be able to
to apply them in production and research activities (PLO07).
Identify and classify known and record
new phenomena and processes in the atmosphere, their properties and
their inherent features (WP13).
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. successful mastering of the disciplines "Meteorology" and "Climatology";
2. knowledge of theoretical foundations of the formation of the surface layer of the atmosphere.
Course content
The discipline "Microclimatology" is one of the components of the comprehensive training
specialty "Earth Sciences" under the program "Meteorology". It is devoted to the study of
vertical structure and horizontal variations of meteorological conditions in the surface layer
air that arise under the influence of heterogeneities in the structure and condition of the underlying surface.
This discipline involves familiarization with the basic physical processes that
determine the features of microclimate formation and patterns of its manifestation in different
forms of relief, under the influence of vegetation, water bodies, urban development, etc.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
lectures, seminars, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
Control is carried out by a modular rating system. The maximum score
is 100 points, 60 of which a student can gain during semester control and 40
points - at the exam.
Mandatory for the exam is knowledge of the methodology of microclimatic research and
the laws of formation of the main types of microclimates.
