Learning outcomes
Know the classification of networks by the space of accessibility of features and technologies, standardization of open systems in the OSI model and in the stack of TCP / IP protocols, the principles of organization of circuit-switched networks and packet networks. Know the functional set of network interaction, organization of local and global IP networks, the principles of addressing and routing. Be able to use IP addressing in local networks and be able to configure it. Describe the routing table, operate with the functional set of services of the 7-tier OSI model and the TCP / IP protocol stack. Justify your own view of the problem, communicate with colleagues on computer networks, compile written reports. Organize your independent work to achieve results. Be responsible for the work performed, be responsible for their quality.
Form of study

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: school mathematics and computer science, basics of discrete mathematics and programming. Be able to: work with number systems, master the library tools of programming systems. Have basic skills: computer skills and high-level programming.
Course content
The discipline "Computer Networks" is an integral part of the cycle of professional training of specialists of educational and qualification level "bachelor". The subject of the discipline are: the principles of interaction of software systems through modern communication channels; digital hierarchies and their formation; classification of communication channels; stacks and classification of interaction protocols of computer systems; critical telecommunications protocols; stages of data exchange sessions; analysis of packet switching networks; computer networks as a single information resource. The discipline uses knowledge from the disciplines "Discrete Mathematics" and "Programming" and is the basis for the discipline "System Programming", "Database Organization". Discipline is a compulsory subject.
