Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate fluently on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in the state and Turkish and English languages orally and in writing, and use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of Turkish and English languages and literatures and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 10. To know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 12. Analyze linguistic units, determine their interaction and characterize linguistic phenomena and processes that determine them PLO 14. To use Turkish and English, in oral and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.

Course content
The aim of the discipline is to provide students with practical mastery of various types of speech activities in Turkish; skills of reading and understanding adapted Turkish-language texts, competent writing and composing at A1-A2 level; familiarization with basic grammatical topics and their terminology. The discipline is one of the compulsory components ("Turkish Language (1st semester)" and "Turkish Language (2nd semester)") of the complex multi-semester discipline "Turkish Language". The discipline develops the main types of speech activities in Turkish; communicative language competencies of students; writing and reading skills that meet the requirements of the basic level of Turkish language proficiency; the ability to use the theoretical aspect of grammatical material in practical application. Classes are held in the form of practical classes. The course ends in the first semester with an exam, and in the second semester with a midterm.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical classes; oral answers and written answers in practical classes; listening, test, essay; checking home reading; module tests; exam and midterm.
Assessment methods and criteria
First semester Students with a total score of less than 36 points are not allowed to take the exam. For students who do not reach the minimum grade threshold (36 points) during the semester, a final semester test is conducted, and creative works on course topics are evaluated. The maximum grade for additional forms of assessment may not exceed 40% of the final grade (up to 40 points on a 100-point scale).The maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam). Second semester Students who score a total of less than the critical-calculated minimum of 60 points must pass a module test. The maximum grade for additional forms of assessment may not exceed 20% of the final grade (up to 20 points). The maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 80 points (80%) - semester control and 20 points (20%) - module test work).
