Learning outcomes
PL19. Adhere to a healthy lifestyle, safety of life of employees and take measures to preserve the environment. PL20. Perform professional functions taking into account the requirements of social responsibility, labor discipline, be able to plan and manage time. PL21. Understand the requirements for the specialty, due to the need to ensure sustainable development of Ukraine, its strengthening as a democratic, social, legal state.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this course, students should know: the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; basic economic doctrines and their values; basic methods of studying the features and specifics of economic practices in a globalized world; leading principles of economic policy in the context of modern civilization challenges to be able to distinguish and analyze information on modern economic practices; apply terms, categories, classifications of philosophy, economic theory, sociology, management in relation to contradictory phenomena and processes of economic reality; have basic skills in working with consolidated information, namely, obtain and analyze information from various sources and systematically develop different types of information resources.
Course content
The discipline acquaints students with the basic conceptual and categorical apparatus of ethics, its methods and tools for identifying moral issues in the context of business communication. The reasons for the request to update the values in business communication in general and in the field of economic in particular activity are articulated. The subject field and categorical apparatus of ethics are considered; value principles of business communication, its types and forms, moral and normative requirements for verbal and nonverbal communication; the leading role of emotional intelligence in the context of business communication; management strategies and tactics of behavior in conflict situations; features of intercultural communication in the context of national business cultures of the world and cross-cultural competencies in business communication. The influence of the culture of business communication on the ultimate efficiency of the organization is emphasized.
