Have a basic knowledge of university courses of higher mathematics (integration, differentiation), know the basics of physics and chemistry
Course content
In the course "Modern physical methods in catalysis" the basic principles of methods that are widely used to describe phenomena in heterogeneous catalysis: Mass spectrometry, thermodesorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Mössbauer spectroscopy are studied. Understanding the relationship between the results obtained by physicochemical methods and catalytic properties, as well as the basic principles of processing experimental data using software is an important step in forming a coherent system of views on the relationship between the structure of matter and its specific properties.
