Learning outcomes
PLO5. Plan the activities of the organization in strategic and tactical sections. PLO6. Be able to manage the innovation organization, its development and changes, providing their information, methodological, material, financial, and personnel support, including by international standards and recommendations of models of excellence; PLO19. Apply modern tools for portfolio investment analysis, substantiate management decisions on the formation of the investment portfolio, evaluate the effectiveness of investment portfolio management of the institutional investor, carry out investment monitoring.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Investing", "Investment Management", "Crisis Management", "National Innovation Systems", "Investment Portfolio Management", "Methods of Innovation Management". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of macro- and microeconomics, psychology, sociology, law, economic theory, finance, business economics. 3. Be able to calculate economic and innovation-investment indicators, process statistical data, analyze statistical information. 4. Have basic skills: mathematical modeling, forecasting, using Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
Course content
The basic preconditions and principles of functioning of venture business and evolution of venture business are considered. Venture capital market and its structure. Differences of venture capital from other types of direct investment. The structure of the venture fund. Methods of valuing companies in venture capital. Drivers value venture companies. Venture risk assessment. A study of the venture enterprise is being conducted. The state of development of venture capital in Ukraine. The module addresses issues such as a venture fund as a financial institution. Venture fund efficiency. Venture fund stakeholders. Informal venture investors (business angels) and features of their functioning. Corporate venture funds. Models of venture funds with the participation of the state.

Assessment methods and criteria
Forms of student assessment: (max. 100 points / min. 60 points) 1. Oral interview, discussion (LO1.3; 3.1; 4.1) - 10 points / 6 points; 2. Solving problems (LO 1.2; 2.4; 3.1; 4) - 20 points / 12 points; 3. Testing (LO1; LO 2;) - 20 points / 12 points; 4. Modular test (2 tests, 10 points max. Each) (LO 1.2; PH 4.1; 4.2; 4.3; 4.4; 4.5.) - 20 points / 12 points; 5. Independent work (2 written works, 5 points max. Each) (LO 1; 2.1- 2.3; 3.2; 4; LO3; LO4) - 10 points / 6 points; 6. Final test (LO 3) - 20 points / 12 points. The final control is carried out in the form of a written test, which is evaluated with a maximum of 20 points and is conducted at one of the last seminar classes in the discipline. The final grade in the student's discipline is set based on the results of work during the semester as the sum of points obtained during the semester, including points obtained for independent work and final control work.
