To know foreign language (within the professional field); To evaluate and to analyse international law and international legal systems with the legal system of Ukraine on the basis of awareness of the basic modern legal doctrines, values and principles of law; To conduct comparative legal analysis of individual institutions of law of different legal systems, including the legal system of Ukraine the legal systems of the Council of Europe and the European Union; To draft acts of application of legal rules (court decisions, orders, resolutions, decrees, etc.) and other legal documents/

Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know: the domestic and international remedies for combatting discrimination to know how: use their professional knowledge and skills on the issues of anti- discrimination policies on administrative positions in international, public organizations, civil society institutions, non-profit and non-governmental organizations. to have the basic skills: to independently identify and formulate a problem related to discrimination, analyse a relevant material in relation to the problem, and within a predetermined time frame present the results both orally and in writing.
Course content
Annotation of the educational course. Forms of lecturing and methods of study of this course are aimed to gain an overview of, and an ability to critically reflect upon and discuss, orally and in written form, current theory and research on the issues of discrimination; to provide an extensive overview of the domestic and international procedures for dealing with issues of discrimination and violations of human rights, etc., to enhance their understanding of different aspects of anti-discrimination policies of the states of the European Union and the Council of Europe; know and be able to assess domestic anti-discrimination policies.

Lectures, seminars, self-studying work of the student on the basis of textbooks, abstracts, methodical recommendations, consultations with the teacher
Assessment methods and criteria
Lecture, seminar, individual work of a student: speech-presentation min 3 – max 5; comments to a speech min 3 – max 5; two essays min 3 – max 4; two express questionnaires min 2 – max 4; two speeches (on a given topic) min 1 – max 2; participation in a discussion min 2 – max 4; colloquium: min 3 – max 5; colloquium 2 min 3 – max 5. If a student as a result of re-takes has not reached the minimum threshold level of grade (24 points), the lecturer who delivered seminars or practical classes and held re-takes, turns to the Dean of the Law Faculty with the submission where the lecturer establishes the non-performance of the individual educational plan by a student. As a result of the final form of control (credit) a student may receive maximum 60 points.
