Learning outcomes
To know the main trends in the development of university education in Ukraine and the world. Know the peculiarities of the education system in Ukraine and its adaptation to the principles of the Bologna process. Know the history of Kyiv University. To know the history of the development of education. To be able to analyze the modern education system in Ukraine, in particular, the organization of the pedagogical education field. Be able to determine the impact of university studies on the educational process.

Course content
Acquaintance with the historiography of the course, traditions of university education in Ukraine and the world. Disclosure of the circumstances of the establishment of St. Volodymyr University in Kyiv. Consideration of the educational process, reorganizations, legal status, financial situation and daily life of professor-teaching and student corporations. Coverage of the development of scientific schools at Kyiv University, training of scientific personnel, international cooperation, including in the modern conditions of Ukraine's entry into the European educational space. Highlighting the peculiarities of Western European university education at various stages of historical development from antiquity to the present.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes individual works, tests and surveys on the topics of tests. Evaluation is carried out on a 100-point system. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 100 points / 60 points.
