Learning outcomes
To know the features of the structure of consolidated nanomaterials, synthesis methods for achieving new physical properties. To know examples of unique physical properties that are achieved with the use of consolidated nanomaterials.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the basic laws and concepts of general physics, solid state theory, quantum solid state theory, information on nanomaterials. 2. To have the skills necessary for search and process of specialized literature.
Course content
The course "Materials Science of Consolidated Nanostructures" teaches modern ideas about the structure, methods of production, properties and usage of consolidated nanostructures. Teaching methods: lectures, self-study. Assessment methods: Modular tests, surveys during lectures, final test.

Lectures - 45 hours. Self-study - 75 hours.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: (max/min) 1. Modular test 1 on topics 1-6: SR 1.1 - 25 points / 15 points 2. Modular test 2 on topics 7-12: SR 1.2 - 25 points / 15 points 3. Abstracts review: SR 1.1, 1.2 - 10 points / 6 points. The test is made in writing. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the test is 40. To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the test may not be less than 24 points. A student is not admitted to the test if he / she scored less than 36 points during the semester.
