Successful mastering of special courses on the interaction of ionizing radiation with matter and methods of registration of ionizing radiation. 3. Basic skills to do in the Linux operating system 4. Basic programming skills in C ++. 5. Have basic computer skills to search for information on the Internet.
Course content
The course "Modeling experiments in GEANT4" will allow • Master the basic laws of physics, master the methods and principles of theoretical solution of nuclear-physical problems to develop students' skills of experimentation, observation of nuclear-physical phenomena and processing the results of the experiment. • Will be free to focus on the qualitative and quantitative level in the main nuclear-physical phenomena associated with the manifestations of the quantum structure of matter at the level of elementary particles • Develop skills of practical use of acquired knowledge, methods and approaches in the further mastering of courses in high energy physics. • Learn the main areas of use of experimental geometry modeling methods and experimental data sets in GEANT4. • Learn the principle of operation, purpose and functionality of the main software components of the GEANT4 code (defined in the lecture course and practical work).
