Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To work with information effectively: to select necessary information from different sources, in particular from professional literature and electronic bases; to analyze and interpret it critically; to arrange it and make proper classification and systematization. PLO 3. To organize the process of learning and self-education. PLO 6. Use information and communicative technologies to solve complicated specialized tasks and professional issues. PLO 7. To understand major problems of philology and approaches to their solution with the use of relevant methods, in particular, innovative interdisciplinary approaches of applied (computational) linguistics and information technologies; to explain their interrelation in the integrated system of interdisciplinary knowledge. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of courses: all courses of 1-6 semesters of study from thematic blocks (Mathematical foundations of the specialty, Informatics, Theoretical Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Introduction to Philology, English), all elective courses of the 5th semester of study from the first elective block "Computer Modeling of verbal communication", as well as the disciplines Introduction to university studies, Scientific image of the world, Philosophy. The ability to apply in practice the knowledge gained while listening to the previous courses of the educational program; work with scientific information, summarize domestic and foreign experience in the field of computer linguistics using modern methods of scientific research, work with specialized literature; apply modern software technologies; to process and analyze the received research results.
Course content
The educational component "Coursework" is part of the first selective block "Computer modeling of verbal communication" within the complex discipline "Linguistic examination of the text using the methods of applied linguistics" as its second part. The course work summarizes the scientific research work of students aimed at deepening special skills and knowledge of an innovative nature, analytical and creative application of this knowledge to solve actual problems of applied linguistics, formation of practical implementation of the results of problem research in independently applied developments in the field of computer linguistics; High-quality performance of educational and scientific coursework is aimed at deepening the level of preparation of students for independent practical work and creative solution of professional tasks.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Types of work: Selection of the topic, substantiation of the work's relevance, novelty, and practical significance of the research; Making a work plan; Collection of material; Processing of sources and scientific theoretical and methodological and critical literature; Writing work; development of a software linguistic product or its part; Implementation of the research goal (conformance of the conclusions to the tasks); Appropriate design of the work (compliance with the requirements of the scientific style, clarity, and logic of the structure of the work); Adherence to deadlines for work and its separate parts; Public protection.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment – ​​work on a course project during the semester. Final assessment - differentiated assessment, public defense of the course work. The maximum/minimum number of points that can be received by students for coursework is 100 points / 60 points.
