            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            To successfully master the knowledge of the discipline, students must:
have basic knowledge of social geography, economic geography, labor geography, and sustainable development courses;
to be able to analyze social and economic processes in society, identify their features, causes and evaluate consequences;
to possess modern quantitative and qualitative methods of research, to be able to apply them in scientific and research activities;
to be able to apply modern principles of sustainable development for drawing up strategic plans and programs for the socio-economic development of cities and regions.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The academic discipline is devoted to the study of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of the quality of life of the urban population, economic, social and ecological aspects of the quality of life of the urban population, modern strategies for the development and management of cities that are comfortable for life.
The course includes 2 content parts:
Part 1. Theoretical foundations of the study of the quality of life of the population
Part 2. Economic, social, ecological aspects and management of the quality of life of the population of cities and regions

            Lectures, seminars, independent work, discussions, presentations of research results, solving specific problems and situations.
        
    
            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            The discipline consists of two substantive parts, each of which ends with a thematic test and provides for a final test in the form of a credit. The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale (the grade is calculated as accumulated).
Final (semester) control of students' knowledge of the discipline - written assessment. The maximum number of points based on the results of the assessment is 40 points.
The final grade for the discipline is formed as the sum of points received: for work during the semester in seminar classes, performance of an individual creative practical task, thematic control papers (maximum 60 points) and for the answer to the test (maximum 40 points).
