Knowledge of the basic principles of basic biological methods
Course content
The educational discipline "Laboratory Practical Course in Genetics. Part 1", which is a component of the educational and professional program "Biology" of the educational level "Bachelor", is aimed at enabling students, based on the acquired theoretical knowledge, to master the basic methods of genetic research for performing course and final qualification works, analyze and interpret the obtained experimental data, conduct statistical processing of the obtained results, work with scientific literature and electronic databases. During the laboratory practical course, students acquire basic skills in conducting laboratory experiments, get acquainted with modern molecular and cytogenetic methods, methods of human genetics, and get acquainted with physicochemical research methods and areas of their application in molecular genetics.
