Successful mastery by students of the academic disciplines "Biological and bioorganic chemistry", "Human anatomy", "Histology, cytology and embryology", "Physiology", "Microbiology, virology and immunology", "Life safety; fundamentals of bioethics and biosafety", "Pathomorphology", "Pathophysiology", "Pharmacology", "Propaedeutics of internal diseases", "Propaedeutics of pediatrics", "Neurology".  Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of medical chemistry, human anatomy, physiology, propaedeutics of internal diseases, propaedeutics of pediatrics, neurology and other disciplines for solving specific scientific and practical tasks; work with scientific and scientific and methodological literature.

Medical psychology is an interdisciplinary field that combines the approaches of general and clinical psychology, psychosomatic medicine, neuropsychology, psychophysiology, and psychiatry. The main objectives of the course are: studying the psychological mechanisms of adaptation and maladaptation during illness; developing knowledge about the influence of psycho-emotional state on somatic health; familiarizing with methods of psychodiagnostics, psychoprophylaxis, and psychological support in medical practice; studying the behavioral reactions of patients of different ages and psychotypes in conditions of illness; mastering the principles of professional communication in the medical care system; developing psychological self-regulation skills to maintain the professional health of a doctor. The discipline contributes to a deeper understanding of the psychosocial aspects of clinical work, improving empathic attitude towards patients, and increasing the effectiveness of interprofessional interaction.
