2. Organize and carry out work on urban monitoring and inventory at horticultural facilities, natural and cultural landscapes and compiling a cadastre of greenery.
9. Present the results of research in the field of horticulture to specialists and non-specialists.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the main environmental problems inherent in the urban environment; features of the functioning of urban ecosystems; theoretical foundations and methods of monitoring land, atmospheric air, surface waters and vegetation; the content of current regulations on the planning, organization and implementation of the state monitoring system within Ukraine.
2. Ability to perform a professional level of comprehensive assessment of the quality indicators of the urban environment; make professionally justified management decisions on the preservation and improvement of quality indicators that are standardized within the urban environment; keep records of urban green spaces, maintain their register and carry out their certification.
3. Knowledge of the terminology and basic concepts related to the functioning of the environmental monitoring system, ecological approaches to the standardization of anthropogenic loads.
Course content
The subject "Urban Monitoring and accounting of green areas" is a compulsory subject. It is designed to form students' comprehensive understanding of the functioning of the system of state environmental monitoring in urban landscapes of Ukraine. It outlines issues related to the legal framework for regulating the interaction between the subjects of the monitoring system. Quantitative and qualitative indicators that determine the state of atmospheric air, water resources, soils and flora, as well as methods of accounting for green spaces in cities and their certification are presented.
