Learning outcomes
2. Organize and carry out work on urban monitoring and inventory of garden and park facilities, natural and cultural landscapes and compiling a cadastre of greenery. 7. Carry out effective management of garden and park facilities, natural and cultural landscapes, taking into account technological, legal, economic, environmental and other aspects. 11. To design territories of squares, highways and streets, pedestrian zones, lanes of linear objects, zones of country rest and tourism, forest parks, territories of hospital complexes and resorts, sanitary protection zones, reclamation tree plantations, rehabilitation of disturbed landscapes of technogenic territories. 13. Organize educational and cognitive activities of students. 15. Organize and carry out educational environmental activities among the population.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the basics of the disciplines of the educational and professional program "Landscape Design and Greening" of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education (basics of plant morphology and systematics, phytocoenology, ecology, florology, plant geography within the framework of normative, special disciplines and field practices taught in previous years of study). 2. Ability to independently work with scientific and methodological literature, perform practical work, identify botanical objects in the volume determined by normative and special disciplines taught in previous years of study. 3. Possession of elementary skills in working with documents, materials and equipment used in an ecological laboratory, using keys to determine taxa of different ranks, carrying out plant identification and analysis of geobotanical descriptions.
Course content
The course covers issues of environmental protection, environmental management and resource conservation in urban areas; forms a set of knowledge about the sources and manifestations of the current environmental crisis and ways to overcome it, the prospects for the interaction of economic, legal, technical, etc. measures; deepens the sense of responsibility for the environment, human awareness as a part of nature and sustainable development of nature and society. The course covers issues of international and domestic environmental legislation in the fields of environmental safety, environmental strategies, environmental management, outreach, sociophytology and protected sociology, introduces the issue of introduction of alien species and aims to acquire the ability to detect and timely apply measures to eliminate dangerous areas of nature in an urban environment.
