Learning outcomes
10. Develop projects for landscaping, gardening and landscape architecture; to develop projects of restoration and reconstruction of objects of gardening, cultural heritage; to design winter gardens in the interiors of office and residential buildings, landscaping of roofs, greenhouses and hothouses
complexes.
11. To design territories of squares, highways and streets, pedestrian zones, lanes of linear objects, zones of country rest and tourism, forest parks, territories of hospital complexes and resorts, sanitary protection zones, reclamation tree plantations, rehabilitation of disturbed landscapes of technogenic territories.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the basics of the theory of landscape architecture.
2. Knowledge of the sequence of work on landscape projects.
3. Ability to design simple landscapes.
4. Ability to use computer programs AutoCAD, SketchUp and TwiLight Render
or equivalent programs for preparing drawings and 3D modeling.
5. Ability to collect, process, analyze, and systematize scientific and technical
information of an innovative nature in the specialty.
6. Possession of drawing skills, use of watercolors and/or other means and
materials of fine arts.
Course content
The course is devoted to the theory and practice of landscape design. The history of development of landscape design methods is briefly considered, attention is paid to modern methods of landscape design and the main trends of changes in approaches to the design of landscape objects are considered in detail. The role of IT technologies at the current stage of development of the landscape sphere is determined, current changes in the use of computer applications are analyzed with special attention to the prospects of introduction of VIM technologies in landscape design. A balance has been established in the use of computer programs and traditional means of fine arts in the design of gardens, parks and squares. Features of modern application of proportioning and misleading perspective in garden design are highlighted. The knowledge gained in lectures is consolidated in practical classes during the design of corporate winter
the garden.
