Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the regularities of plant adaptation to different soil and climatic conditions of the surrounding environment.
2. To be able to observe the growth and development of plants in the conditions of natural ecosystems, artificial phytocenoses, urbanized landscapes, analyze the main morphological and physiological reactions of plants depending on the conditions of the surrounding environment.

Course content
The academic discipline forms a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms of introduction processes related to adaptation, acclimatization, and reintroduction of various plant species; forms skills in comprehensively assessing the success of introduction processes caused by global climate change and the specifics of landscape design. The academic discipline focuses on elucidating the mechanisms of adaptation and plant resistance to various types of biotic and abiotic stress factors, characterizes the concept of adaptation strategies and factors that determine the strength of their influence. It studies the mechanisms of plant response to: water stress in the event of drought or flooding; temperature stress in the event of low and high temperatures; chemical stress in the event of pollution.
