Course content
"Biologically active substances" is a discipline that considers the chemical structure, properties of biologically active substances of the human body - vitamins and hormones. The chemical structure, features of biosynthesis of water-soluble vitamins, synthesis of coenzymes, which include vitamins and the main mechanisms of enzymatic reactions with their participation, are considered. The structural features of fat-soluble vitamins, their role in the regulation of metabolism are considered. Attention is paid to the structure and synthesis of hormones, the role of hormones in the regulation of basic metabolism, modern methods of studying vitamins and hormones.
