Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Bioorganic Chemistry", "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology", "General Genetics". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry and other disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Possess basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in biological and biotechnological laboratories.
Course content
"Laboratory practical course in biochemistry" is an educational discipline designed to develop in students the basic skills and abilities necessary for work in a professional biochemical laboratory. Within the framework of the practical course, students learn the basic principles of setting up a biochemical experiment, methods for isolating, purifying and identifying proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, enzymes and other classes of bioorganic compounds from biological material, chromatographic techniques, methods for determining enzyme activity, and practical skills in interpreting the results of spectral studies.
