Learning outcomes
PR01. Be able to apply modern mathematical methods to solve practical problems related to the research and design of biotechnological processes. Use knowledge of physics to analyze biotechnological processes. PR15. Based on knowledge of the laws of mechanical, hydromechanical, heat and mass transfer processes and the main design features, be able to choose appropriate equipment in the process of designing production of biotechnological products for various purposes to ensure their maximum efficiency. PR19. Be able to use automated design systems to develop a technological and hardware scheme of biotechnological production. PR21. Be able to formulate tasks for the development of automation systems for the production of biotechnological products for various purposes.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The discipline "Electrical Engineering and Fundamentals of Electronics" and uses the results of the study of mandatory disciplines "Higher Mathematics" and "Physics". Prerequisites: 1. Be able to solve systems of linear equations. 2. Know the basics of integral and differential calculus, complex analysis. 3. Know the basics of electricity and magnetism.
Course content
In the conditions of modern biotechnological production the engineer - the electrician should be able to use skilfully modern means of automation and mechanization which are applied in electronic devices and installations; participate in the design and development of automated industrial plants and systems based on computers and microprocessor technology. The study of the discipline "Electrical Engineering and Fundamentals of Electronics" allows us to understand the physical processes that underlie the functioning of modern electronic devices. The discipline focuses on the study of basic concepts and laws of electrical engineering and electronics, determining the parameters of electrical components of biotechnological equipment. The student acquires basic skills with instructions, descriptions, technical data sheets, devices and installations, including electrical and electronic circuits, elements, devices for their efficient operation.
