PRN2. Be able to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of substances of inorganic, organic and biological origin, using appropriate methods PRN3. Be able to calculate the composition of nutrient media, determine the features of their preparation and sterilization, carry out quality control of raw materials and finished products based on knowledge of the physicochemical properties of organic and inorganic substances PRN6. Be able to determine and analyze the main physicochemical properties of organic compounds that are part of biological agents (proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, lipids). PRN7. Be able to apply knowledge of the composition and structure of cells of various biological agents to determine optimal cultivation conditions and the potential for using the studied cells in biotechnology.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of the academic disciplines "Higher Mathematics", "Inorganic and Organic Chemistry", "Analytical Chemistry". 2. Ability to work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature and Internet resources, the ability to independently apply knowledge of inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, mathematics and biology to specific tasks. 3. Have skills in working with basic mathematical functions and experimental data (finding average values, operations with powers, natural and decimal logarithms, differentials and integrals), be able to build graphical relationships based on the obtained experimental data.
Course content
"Physical and Colloidal Chemistry" is a mandatory discipline that highlights the basic physicochemical provisions and laws for the thermodynamic description of systems of various types, the features of their existence under certain parameters and the influence of various conditions on the nature of the processes occurring in them, and allows you to describe the regularities of the course of processes from the standpoint of chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, phase equilibrium, physical chemistry of interphase phenomena, electrochemical and adsorption equilibrium. The discipline allows you to generalize thermodynamic and kinetic approaches and basic physicochemical laws to explain the features and conditions of the course of chemical, biochemical and biological processes, for practical calculations of various physicochemical characteristics and their experimental determination.
