Learning outcomes
PRN4. Be able to apply the provisions of regulatory documents that regulate the procedure for product certification, production certification, requirements for the organization of quality management systems at enterprises, rules for drawing up technical documentation and conducting a technological process, based on the knowledge obtained during practical training.
PRN5. Be able to analyze regulatory documents (state and industry standards, technical conditions, guidelines, etc.), compile separate sections of technological and analytical documentation for biotechnological products for various purposes; analyze technological situations, choose rational technological solutions.
PRN22. Be able to take into account social, environmental, ethical, economic aspects, requirements for labor protection, industrial sanitation and fire safety when forming technical solutions. Be able to use various types and forms of physical activity for active recreation and leading a healthy lifestyle.

1. Successful completion of a full course of secondary education.

Course content
The academic discipline "Introduction to University Studies" is a basic course aimed at adapting students to the conditions of higher education, forming in them an idea of the mission and functions of the university, academic culture, the structure of the educational process, as well as developing the skills necessary for effective independent learning, self-improvement and successful integration into the academic environment. The course consists of two modules, each of which is dedicated to explaining individual aspects of the learning process. The first module focuses on the communicative capabilities of the institute, forms of student work, principles of academic integrity, business communication etiquette, features of independent work and information search for educational purposes. It is planned to familiarize with the basic principles, leading trends in development and stages of the formation of higher, in particular university education in Ukraine and the world; study the features of the influence of world university traditions on the formation of the Ukrainian educational system; familiarization with the history of the formation of the Ukrainian system of university education. The topic of the second module is devoted to the history of the development and formation of biotechnology as an independent cluster of knowledge of modern technologies. The knowledge obtained will help students organize the further educational process effectively and consciously; deepen their knowledge in the organization of the educational process; form a systematic understanding of teaching methods; develop in them the business skills to act in accordance with their professional duties in specific situations; the ability to use the acquired knowledge in practical professional activities.
