Learning outcomes
PR09. Design and organize activities for growing planting material of ornamental woody plants in open and closed ground and form gardening facilities in accordance with modern scientific methods and requirements of the customer.
PR10. Design and organize activities for the cultivation of planting material of ornamental grasses and flowering plants of open and closed soil and form gardening facilities in accordance with modern scientific methods and customer requirements.
PR13. Work effectively in a team.
PR14. Perform clearly and qualitatively professional tasks, improve the technology of their implementation and teach others.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of the scientific, theoretical and practical material of the academic disciplines "Greening of populated areas", "Phytodesign of closed environments", "Phytoecology of landscapes", "Plant biology", "Plant physiology", "Decorative dendrology", "Chemistry with the basics of agrochemistry", "Occupational health and safety during garden and park work".
2. Know the theoretical foundations of modern greening of populated areas and interiors, achievements and advanced technologies in phytodesign.
3. Know the basic methods and techniques of design, requirements for the selection of plants and the location of plant compositions in premises of various types (hotels, restaurants, offices, winter gardens, houses, kindergartens, etc.).
4. Know the range of ornamental plants, their biological characteristics, methods of growing, propagating and caring for them in open areas and in premises of various purposes with different climatic conditions.
Course content
Educational practice is aimed at forming students' knowledge in the field of methodology and organization of practical activities in the field of floriculture; acquaintance of students with the basic methods of cultivation and reproduction of plants, methods of protection of plants against pests and diseases; acquainting students with the practical specifics of the future profession; formation of skills to use modern technologies of information collection, processing and interpretation for practical activities in the field of horticulture. Educational practice forms practical skills of working with plants in real conditions, teaches the correct use of plant care products, uses modern methods of cultivation, reproduction of plants to solve practical problems for future activities in the field of floriculture.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Field training practice, excursion on the territory of Kyiv and Kyiv region, in-house processing of material.
Carrying out an independent individual task. Drawing up a report based on practice results.
Assessment methods and criteria
1. Assessment of practical tasks: RN 1.1–2.4 – 60 points / 30 points
2. Modular test work RN 1.1–1.3 – 60 points / 30 points
2. Defense of the practice report: RN 1.4-2.4, 3.1 – 40 points / 20 points
- semester control: in the form of a differentiated assessment.
