            PR08. Know and understand the basic terms, concepts, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and at the border of subject areas.
PR09. Follow the provisions of biological ethics, rules of biological safety and biological protection in the process of learning and professional activity.
PR12. Demonstrate knowledge of the structure, vital processes and functions of living organisms, understand the mechanisms of regulation of physiological functions to maintain homeostasis of biological systems.
PR15. Analyze the forms of relationships between micro- and macroorganisms with the determination of the main directions of these processes.

            1. Successful completion of the courses "General Cytology", "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology", "Biotechnology".
2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology and other disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature.
3. Possess basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in biological and biotechnological laboratories.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The discipline "Cell Culture" is a basic discipline that covers issues of cell biology, mechanisms of functioning of an individual cell in a population of genetically identical cells, studies the patterns of regulation of division, differentiation and cell death. The course examines the peculiarities of nutrition and conditions for cultivating eukaryotic cells and tissues in vitro. The knowledge obtained can be used in biochemical, pharmacological, and medical research involving modern principles of cell technologies.
