Course content
The academic discipline "Plant Genetics" is a component of the educational and professional program for training specialists at the "Bachelor" educational level. The discipline "Plant Genetics" is a basic biological discipline and covers the study of the structure, functions, evolution and mechanisms of implementation of genetic systems in plants and their practical use in breeding. The academic discipline "Plant Genetics" examines a number of aspects of the organization of plant genomes, features of plant reproduction and modern approaches to assessing plant genetic resources and their use in breeding. The discipline also examines aspects of genetic modification, editing of plant genomes and metabolic engineering of plants.
