PR06. Apply models, methods and data of physics, chemistry, ecology, mathematics in the process of learning and ensuring professional activity. PR07. Possess methods of self-education and self-improvement. Be able to design a trajectory of professional growth and personal development, applying the acquired knowledge. PR08. Know and understand the basic terms, concepts, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and at the border of subject areas. PR13. Know the mechanisms of preservation, implementation and transmission of genetic information and their significance in evolutionary processes. PR20. Argue the choice of methods, algorithms for planning and conducting field, laboratory, clinical and laboratory research, including mathematical methods and software for conducting research, processing and presenting results.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Molecular Biology", "Zoology", "Biochemistry", "Microbiology", "General Genetics". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in biological and molecular biological laboratories.
Course content
"Genetic analysis" includes the study of the basic principles of methods of genetic analysis and the peculiarities of their application in the study of both individual organisms and populations of different species. In the course of studying the discipline the practical application and significance of certain methods in genetic analysis are given or demonstrated.
