Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the scientific and theoretical base of academic disciplines are taught to students during 1-3 years.
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, cytology and histology, zoology, biophysics, etc.
3. Knowledge of the basic principles of basic biological methods.
Course content
The academic discipline "Laboratory Practical Course in Genetics. Part 1", which is a component of the educational and professional program "Biology" of the educational level "Bachelor", aims to enable students, based on the acquired theoretical knowledge, to master the basic methods of genetic research for the performance of course and final qualification works, analyze and interpret the obtained experimental data, conduct statistical processing of the obtained results, and work with scientific literature and electronic databases.During the laboratory practicum, students acquire basic skills in conducting laboratory experiments, become familiar with modern molecular and cytogenetic methods, human genetics methods, and become familiar with physicochemical research methods and areas of their application in molecular genetics.
