Learning outcomes
Formation of students' ability to navigate the specifics of the procedural status of various participants in the civil process and skills for effective protection of their procedural rights and fulfillment of procedural duties, without which a modern lawyer cannot be an active participant in the civil process

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the theory of civil procedural law:norms, institutions of civil law;basic conceptual approaches to civil procedural legal relations;grounds and prerequisites for participation in civil proceedings by specific participants; norms regulating the procedural status of participants in civil proceedings, their rights and obligations. Be able to correctly understand the content of the norms of civil procedural law that regulate the participation of individuals in civil proceedings; use the acquired knowledge in practical activities; competently formulate one's own position in a civil case;effectively protect the rights,freedoms and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities, the interests of society and the state;distinguish between types of legal aid. Possess basic skills in the methodology and methods of carrying out professional activities by persons representing the interests of participants in a civil case, the basics of strategy and tactics for solving a legal problem
Course content
Participants in civil proceedings: general legal characteristics. The court as a participant in civil procedural legal relations. Participants in the case. Parties as participants in civil proceedings. Third parties as participants in civil proceedings. Participants in judicial proceedings in cases of separate proceedings. Participants in judicial proceedings in cases of mandatory proceedings. Representatives as participants in civil proceedings. The relationship between the advisory activities of a lawyer, representation and other types of legal assistance. Participation in the legal process of bodies and persons who are granted the right by law to apply to the court in the interests of other persons. Other participants in the legal process. Persons who provide organizational and technical support for the process. Assistant judge, witness, expert, specialist, translator as a participant in a civil proceeding.

Student assessment forms - semester assessment forms: 1. report (speech on a given topic) – 0 to 8 points; 2. addition to the report / participation in the discussion – up to 3 points; 3. solving case problems – up to 5; 4. independent work – up to 5 points; 5. testing (choose the correct ones from a set of judgments) – up to 10 points; 6. preparation of draft procedural documents – from 0 to 8 points; 7. scientific work – from 5-8 points.
