Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of theoretical foundations of physics, mathematics and general geology.
Course content
The course focuses on the theoretical and physical foundations of geophysical methods, applied geophysics, and the principles of instrumentation and measurement techniques. Approaches to solving direct and inverse geophysical problems are discussed; qualitative and quantitative interpretation techniques are explained using selected examples. The areas of application of geophysical methods are presented using real-life examples. The general principles of setting geophysical problems, a review of ways to implement them, and the effectiveness of their application are included.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, laboratory classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The control includes laboratory work and 4 written tests. The final assessment is carried out in the form of an exam: the maximum score is 40 points, the cut-off score is 24 points. The written exam is in the form of a test. The results of students' learning activities are assessed on a 100-point scale. A student is not allowed to take part in the final assessment if he or she scores less than 24 points during the semester. (simple or weighted) of points for systematic work during the 3rd semester, and 4 written tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written examination.
