Learning outcomes
PLO 4. To understand the principles of economics, especially the functioning of economic systems PLO 9. To realize the main features of the modern world and national economy, the institutional structure, directions of social, economic and foreign economic policy of the state. PLO 11. To be able to analyze the processes of government authorities and market regulation of socio-economic and labor relations PLO 17. To perform multidisciplinary analysis of socio-economic phenomena and problems in one or more professional fields, taking into account risks and possible socio-economic consequences

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basic concepts of microeconomics and macroeconomics. 2. Possess the skills of macroeconomic analysis.
Course content
The course structure has two modules: Content module 1 Principles and Concepts of Economic Development Content module 2. The Macroeconomics and International Economics of Economic Development Module 1 “Principles and Concepts of Economic Development” is devoted to the study of the meaning and measurements of economic Development, its theories, factors of economic growth, problems of poverty and inequality etc. Module 2 “The Macroeconomics and International Economics of Economic Development” covers the macroeconomic and international aspects of economic development.

Assessment methods and criteria
- semester evaluation: 1. Test (LO 1.1-1.3; 2.1-2.3) - 10 points / 4 points; 2. Oral examination (LO 1.1-1.3; 2.1-2.3) - 5 points / 2 points; 3. Solving problems (LO 1.1-1.3; 2.1-2.3) - 5 points / 2 points; 4. Module test (2 MT, 10 points max. each) (LO 1.1-1.3; 2.1-2.3) - 20 points / 14 points; 5. Individual student’s self-study (1 project) (LO 1.1-1.3; 2.1-2.3) - 20 points / 14 points; - final evaluation in the form of the exam A student is not allowed to take the exam if he / she received less than 36 points during the semester. If the student's grade on the exam is lower than the minimum threshold level (24 points), the points for the exam are not added to the semester grade (considered equal to zero), and the final grade in the discipline is unsatisfactory.
