Learning outcomes
PLO7. Choose effective methods of management of economic activity, to substantiate the offered decisions on the basis of relevant data and scientific and applied researches. PLO9. Make effective decisions under conditions of uncertainty and challenges that require the use of new approaches, methods, and tools of socio-economic research. PLO11. Identify and critically assess the state and trends of socio-economic development, form and analyze models of economic systems and processes. PLO14. Develop scenarios and strategies for the development of socio-economic systems. PLO19. Articulate new hypotheses and scientific problems in economics, and propose appropriate approaches and methods to test them. PLO20. Identify and critically assess the state and trends of socio-economic development and apply them to the formation of new models of economic systems and processes.

1. To know the main theories of the functioning of microeconomic subjects, the causes of market failures. 2. Have the skills to solve the problems of maximizing firm profit and individual utility.
