            PLO4. Understand the principles of economics, features of economic systems.
PLO6. Use professional reasoning to convey information, ideas, problems and ways to solve them to specialists and non-specialists in the field of economic activity.
PLO11. Be able to analyze the processes of state and market regulation of socio-economic and labor relations.
PLO21. Be able to think abstractly, apply analysis and synthesis to identify key characteristics of economic systems at different levels, as well as the behavior of their subjects.
PLO22. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in new situations, in working with new objects, and in uncertain conditions.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            1. Successful mastering of the course "Economic Theory", "History of Economics and Economic Thought", "Statistics".
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of finance, probability theory.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            It consists of two content modules:
1. «Theoretical principles of insurance», which addresses such issues:
1.1. The essence, principles and role of insurance on the market.
1.2. Classification of insurance.
1.3. Insurance risks and their assessment.
1.4. Insurance market.
1.5. Insurance organization.
1.6. State regulation of insurance activities.
2. «Features of certain types of insurance and the basics of financial activities of the insurer», which addresses such issues:
2.1. Personal insurance.
2.2. Property insurance.
2.3. Liability insurance
2.4. Reinsurance and co-insurance.
2.5. Insurer's income, expenses and profit.
2.6. Financial reliability of the insurance company.

            recitation, papers, laboratory work, testing, solving situational problems, individual tasks, essays, exam.
Semester assessment:
1. Testing (min : 8*0,6=4,8 points; max: 8*1=8 points)
2. Recitation on knowledge of theoretical material (min : 8*0,6=4,8 points; max: 8*1=8 points)
3. Laboratory works fulfilment and defence (min: 7*2,4=16,8 points; max: 7*4=28 points)
4. Module review work tests (min: 2*4,8=9,6 points; max: 2*8=16 points)
Additional points: individual assignments, essays, papers, etc. 
Final evaluation
in the form of an exam (final grade of the discipline (maximum 100 points), which is defined as the sum (simple or weighted) points for systematic work during the semester). The exam is based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester.
