PLO 2. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of economic science, the peculiarities of the functioning of economic systems. PLO 4. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: the basics of population theory; theoretical and methodological principles of statistical analysis of mass processes; methods of statistical generalization of data, analysis of the structure, dynamics and intensity of the manifestation of mass phenomena and processes; methods of modeling and forecasting mass phenomena and processes. 2. Have: skills of statistical data processing and analysis; programming; construction of forecast models and calculation of probability indicators; construction of statistical tables and graphs; preparation of analytical notes on the results of data processing and generalization.
Course content
The curriculum consists of two content modules: module 1 "Statistical support of population reproduction analysis", which addresses theoretical and methodological and practical issues of studying the preconditions of demographic processes: the number and socio-demographic structure of the population, its survival, and current issues of information. ensuring in terms of its adaptation to international standards; Module 2 "Statistical analysis and modeling of demographic processes", which covers the study of statistical patterns of births, marriages, divorces, migration, as well as the evolution of the order of reproduction of demographic generations and contingents.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The purpose of the discipline is to form students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills in statistical evaluation, analysis and modeling of the process of population reproduction. The educational task of the course is to study the basic methods and techniques of collecting, processing and analyzing statistical information on population formation, its demographic and socio-economic composition, as well as components of natural movement and migration and demographic forecasting.
Assessment methods and criteria
Forms of student assessment: (max. Points 60 / min. Points 36) 1. Participation in laboratory work (discussion, answers to theoretical questions. Independent performance of practical exercises, problem solving, development and implementation of a group project) - 10 points / 6 points 2. Modular test - 15 points / 9 points 3. Execution of two individual independent calculation and analytical works - each of 10 points / 6 points - final assessment in the form of an exam
